Terms of Use
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Please read these terms before using our website or booking a service. They explain what you can expect from us and what we ask of you.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Use apply when you use www.jivsetu.com and when you book or enquire about services from JivSetu (“JivSetu”, “we”, “us”). By using the website or booking a service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. Website information
The website gives general information about our services. It is not medical, psychological or legal advice, and reading it does not create a counsellor and client relationship. A counselling relationship begins only when you book and attend a session with one of our professionals.
3. Not for emergencies
JivSetu’s website and booking form are not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger or at risk of self-harm, call 112 (national emergency number) or go to the nearest hospital. You can also call Tele-MANAS, India’s government mental health helpline, on 14416.
4. Bookings, fees and rescheduling
- Submitting the booking form is a request, not a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed when we confirm the date and time with you.
- Please give accurate contact details so that we can reach you.
- Fees are those quoted to you when you book, or published on our website for training and supervision programmes. Fees for a programme or session are confirmed before you begin.
- Rescheduling, cancellation and refund terms are as told to you at the time of booking. Please contact us as early as you can if you need to change a session.
5. Our services
Sessions are provided by RCI-licensed psychologists, licensed counselling psychologists and, where needed, a psychiatrist, as described on each service page. Outcomes differ from person to person, and we cannot promise any particular result. Counselling is confidential, subject to the exceptions in our Privacy Policy: serious risk of harm, or where the law requires disclosure.
For children and teenagers, a parent or guardian must give consent to the service.
6. Training and supervision programmes
Internships and supervision training are learning programmes. A Jivsetu certificate confirms the hours and training you completed. Completing a programme does not, by itself, make anyone a licensed psychologist or legally qualified to practise independently. Licensing is governed by the relevant regulatory bodies, such as the RCI and the NCAHP. Letters of recommendation and job guidance are offered by our mentors and do not guarantee any job or registration.
Trainees must follow our ethics and confidentiality rules. This includes protecting client identities in any case discussion, presentation or social media content.
7. Workplace and EAP services
Workplace programmes are delivered under the scope agreed with each organisation. Individual employee conversations stay confidential. The organisation receives aggregate, anonymised insights only.
8. Using the website
You agree not to misuse the website. That includes trying to break into it, overloading it, sending false or harmful content through the forms, or copying it in a way that harms us or others.
9. Our content
The text, logo, images, brochures and other material on this website belong to JivSetu or its licensors. You may view them and share links for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, sell or reuse them without our written permission.
10. Limits of responsibility
We work to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, JivSetu is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website or from relying on its general information. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that cannot be limited.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Gurugram, Haryana will have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any right you have under law to approach another forum.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
