What Dr. Sachdev brings to JivSetu
Ethics at the centre
Professional ethics is his field of research. He keeps the network honest about scope, so every professional works within their qualification.
Student wellbeing experience
As Associate Dean of Student Welfare and a hostel warden for a decade, he has seen what young people face, and it shapes our school and college work.
Wellbeing, studied closely
He has published on wellbeing in virtue ethics, and recently co-authored a paper on the ethics of psychiatric medication.
Rooted in Indian thought
His research includes council-funded work on the Yoga-Sutra and the good life, which keeps our approach culturally grounded.
Credibility with institutions
Thirty years in academia, including a long tenure as Associate Professor at BITS Pilani and an invited keynote at an international conference, lend weight with schools, colleges, and companies.
Mentoring the next generation
He has supervised doctoral research and numerous student projects, which supports our training and supervision work.
The people who started JivSetu
JivSetu was founded by two people who saw the same gap from different sides: good mental health support exists, but it is hard to find, hard to trust, and hard to organise. One brings the view of organisations, the other the view of research and practice.
Mr. Sohanjeet Singh
Sohanjeet has spent more than five years as a management consultant, working with organisations to understand problems, structure solutions, and see them through. At JivSetu he applies that discipline to a field where it is often missing: making mental health support easy to reach, well organised, and genuinely useful to the people and institutions it serves.
What Sohanjeet brings to JivSetu
A consultant's eye on organisations
Years inside corporate environments help him see what HR teams and leaders actually need, so our workplace programmes fit how organisations really work instead of being generic.
Structure and clarity
He turns complex needs into clear plans, processes, and next steps, which keeps JivSetu's services organised and dependable for clients and for our professionals.
Building a network that lasts
He leads how JivSetu grows, from partnerships with companies, schools, and colleges to keeping quality high as the network expands.
Ms. Prachi Sachdev
Prachi combines six years of psychology-based research with more than three years of guiding and counselling people. She has worked with different hospitals and clinics as well as independently, which gives her a clear view of how support looks in very different settings, and what people actually need from it.
What Prachi brings to JivSetu
Research-grounded practice
Six years of psychology research keeps JivSetu's approach evidence-informed, rather than led by trends.
Experience across settings
Having worked in hospitals, clinics, and independently, she understands how care differs from one setting to another, and helps match each person with the right kind of support.
A counsellor's standard of care
More than three years of direct work with people shapes the warmth, clarity, and care with which JivSetu welcomes everyone who reaches out.
